Whole-Body Cryotherapy is fresh, oxygenated air so you won’t experience shivering, goosebumps or other reactions that you might associate with being cold. Because of this technology, unlike an ice bath or immersion, cryotherapy is not painful. During the treatment, your skin temperature will decrease between 30-45 degrees over 2.5 to 3.5 minutes inside the chamber. Even if you don’t like being cold, this process will rejuvenate your body, skin and mind, and you will leave feeling warmer than when you arrived.

Improving Healthspan and Lifespan – what foods and ways of living are best – Thursday, May 23rd – 6:45pm

With aging being a risk factor for all major diseases, what actions are best for our current health and the length of our lives? Are there specific foods we could be eating to live a longer and healthier life? Are there specific ways of living we can incorporate for better quality of life?

In this lecture, Dr. Julita Baker will share a practical scientific approach to improving healthspan and lifespan. We will delve into the research surrounding these topics, discuss solutions, and leave the presentation with pragmatic tips to improve long term wellbeing.

Julita has studied the microbiological, physiological, and behavioral effects of nutrition & food choice for the past 18 years, the last 10 of which focusing more specifically on convenient & palatable food choice on mindfulness and stress. She has funneled this combined experience into consulting & teaching food choice betterment and designing individualized food choice programs.

Aspiring to spark new ways of thinking in nutrition, she hopes to bridge the gap between evidence-based science and practicality. She loves to inspire folks to jump out of preconceived health notions, and cares deeply to help people live to their full potential.
